I was in Chicago for the holiday seeing my sister and her family. We were in Streeterville and found the D4 Pub, stopped in for a few drinks and appies before heading home. I've been to CHI a number of times, visiting family, on business, etc, and being a Chicago outsider I'm not the best on the 'local scene' however, I do know an excellent bar when I see one. D4 has got to be one of my top five pubs. Seriously; walk in and look at the place--it's beautiful. Have a seat and check out the beer selection...ya, there's bars out there that offer all kinds of beers, but the beer selction at D4 hits outside the mainstream with a distinctive taste for the best. My sister and I shared the Brie kettle (yum!) then she had the shrimp skewers and I ordered the plate of small burgers. From the neighborhood, I expected a bit more than the usual and D4 did it up just right on thier menu choices. I would love to come back for a couple more of those beers I've never heard of, so keep it up D4!!
