Uploading video
Q: How do I upload my video?
A: When using the  upload form please browse to the proper location the video can be found on your computer. After filling in the appropriate boxes, press “Upload File” and your video will be submitted to ChicagoLive.com.

Q: How do I find my uploaded videos?
A: All video uploaded will go through an approval process. After video has been approved it will then be displayed on ChicagoLive.com.  Please wait at least 24 hours to see your video on ChicagoLive.com

Q: How do I delete/remove a video I uploaded?
A: Please contact us here at ChicagoLive.com if you would like your video to be taken down from the site.

Q: What video file formats can I upload?
A: Users can upload videos that are encoded in any of the following formats:
-Quicktime (MOV)
-Windows Media (WMV)
-Audio Video Interleave (AVI)
-MPEG 1, MPEG 2 and MPEG4
-Max File Size Upload 500mb

Q: How do I change/add to the information I entered for my video?
A: Please contact us here at ChicagoLive.com if you would like different information to be displayed with your video on the site. Include your name and the name of the video.

Q: What should I put in my video description?
A: Please describe what will happen on the video to the best of your ability.  


Searching for video
Q: How do I search for my video?
A: You can search for your video using the search bar found in the navigation on the top right. You can also go to the “Browse” tab where you will find a range of choices to search by.

Q: What are tags?
A: Tags are simple words or short phrases. They provide extra data that can be used to find a particular entry or other entries that are similar within the site.

Q: What’s the difference between tags and categories?
A: A category is a more general classification of the videos, whereas tags are more specific. Both are can be searched and browsed.


Comments & Rating
Q: What does the video rating represent?
A: Video rating at the bottom of each video page can be used to determine which video appears on the front of the site under “highest rated.”

Q: I commented on a video, but my comment isn't appearing. What happened?
A: Comments aren't posted immediately. They're screened for relevance to the topic, obscenity, spam and over-the-top personal attacks. We can't always get them up as soon as we'd like so please be patient.

Q: How do I edit or delete a comment I made on someone else's video?
A: You cannot edit or delete a comment you’ve previously made. But if you feel as though a comment should be taken down due to foul or inappropriate language please let us know


Issues
Q: Where can I report an issue with a video?
A: Please contact the ChicagoLive.com staff letting us know that you’ve found something wrong. Please be specific as to where you found it. Sending a link or a screenshot with the error would help best.
